Sh-Boom The Chords

The Song Sh-Boom is a very happy, sounding, dance song.  Obviously, it makes everyone think of the movie Cars.  I think this does sound like a song that would be featured in many movies because it has!  Not only was this song in Pixar's Cars, but Disney California Adventure incorporated the song into the neon light ceremony in the new Cars Land.  Some other places you may have heard the song was in the TV series Happy Days, in the film Clue,  The original version of The Chords' recording was featured in a scene in Dolphin Tale and also briefly featured in a Nexgard Chewables Dog Commercial.  So there is not a chance that you have never heard this song before!  One way or another, you have heard this song on a Tv show, movie, or commercial.

This song has a very kid-friendly, playful tone to it, it sounds very youthful to me.  In the song, there are lots of sounded out sounds like "Sh-Boom" obviously but also "Hey, nonny, ding, dong" "Alang, alang, alang" "Boom ba doh, ba doo, ba doodle ay".  This is how I think it sounds youthful and playful because the lyrics are not very serious.  However, other parts of the song talk about "If you would let me spend my whole life lovin' you, Life could be a dream, sweetheart".  So there's something for everyone.  It sounds "Family Friendly" to me if that makes sense.

  1. okay, so I love you're writing. I did not know what the song was just off of the titles, but then you said cars and I knew exactly what this song was. Im not going to lie this song is a banger. I also believe that this a kid-friendly song that would put kids-bop out of business. Overall and easy 10/10 both on the blog and the song choice.
